Dear Legislators,
Please support SB45 & HB 399 which would provide insurance coverage for children with developmental disabilities.
I believe Missouri will benefit when all children's needs are met. These therapies help children learn skills they need to better function in their homes, classrooms, and community. The therapies also teach skills they will need as adults.
Sincerely,

Dear Legislators,
Please support SB45 & HB 399 which would provide insurance coverage for children with developmental disabilities.
I am a Kindergarten teacher. I teach 24 children. It is so important that students come into my classroom ready to learn. Early intervention is important for young children. This is why Missouri is working to grow their preschool programs. Similarly, early invention is important for children with disabilities. Therapies are their early intervention. They need these therapies to learn the skills necessary to be ready to learn in my classroom.
Children who don't get these early interventions need significant more support in school. This costs our schools more money. When children get the speech, physical, or occupational therapies they need at an early age, they are far more ready to learn.
Please help all of Missouri's children be successful by supporting SB45.
Sincerely,

Dear Legislators,
Please support SB45 & HB399 which would provide insurance coverage for children with developmental disabilities.
My son has a genetic disorder. He requires one physical, one occupational therapies, and two speech session every week. Each session costs $70, which adds up to $280/week. While insurance covers some of this, I am still paying a few thousand dollars a year for this therapy. I also know that if ACA changed its mandates, none of these therapies would be covered.
This therapy is very important for my son. He is 3-yrs-old and finally taking his first steps. He is starting to communicate with words. Without these therapies, he would be even farther behind.
Please help my son and all of Missouri's children be successful by supporting SB45.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Bella Mama
